The Man Portable Air-Defense System FIM-92 Stinger.

You are familiar with Homing Launcher already (Unlike Javelin), so there is no need to say what it does.
--- Instructions Manual & Limitations ---
Although there are quite a lot of differences from vanilla homing launcher. Well, the custom model aside,
- Offers the most realistic flight and target tracking feature. Only thingy I couldn't do was, missile still has direct-line homing to target, instead of a precalculated intercept point.
- Can not lock on to ground vehicles. This is Anti-Air missile and ground vehicles either don't generate enough heat, or their heat signature blends with environment.
- Can near instantly lock on to any airborne aircraft, this is because Stinger's seeker head can very easily distinguish negative UV light from sky.
- Has 2 stage propulsion. Once fired, the Launch Propulsion will activate to push missile out, after about half a second the Flight Propulsion will kick in and homing will be activated.
- Has increased range and speed (obviously) compared to homing launcher.
--- Efficiency Rates ---
- Missile's tracking ability has been improved to realistic statistics. Although the aircraft can still evade the missile either with a sharp-well timed evasive maneuver or by deploying flares, the missile mostly wins.
- Not recommended to use against very close aircraft (such as a helicopter flying above your head).
- While engaging Rotary Blade aircraft, just aim towards and fire. While engaging at Jet Engine aircraft, you need to fire ahead of the target so the missile doesn't have to catch up with the jet.
You can see the drone able to evade missile without flares in 3rd video, then gets hit right after despite flares.
Evasion Chances by maneuver: 10-15%
Evasion Chances by flares : 70-80%

MANPADs are overall small sized weapons made from lightweight materials, so they don't weight too heavy for troops already carrying shit load of gear... Only few exceptions out there like Javelin which is specially carriered by squires who don't carry anything else other than few essential survival kits.

@Tohru94 There is no program. I have seen one but it only builds a layout and doesn't have info for all weapons...
I do the addons by taking the original files from game, removing unnecessary parts related to other weapons and modifying the names and hashes. It's a tedius process though I still couldn't manage to do it in single time without making a mistake in somewhere along the line.

@MissySnowie Well honestly they may both be correct, if indeed there is some sort of different variant models of one another. Still I would prefer the slightly larger type.
Its a wild guess though, nonetheless I'm now preferring to use this Add-on Stinger, as my main go-to Homing launcher. Its soo much more accurate & reliable then the default game version.

I dont understand that (FIM92Stinger >> mods\update\x64\dlcpacks) do moving FIM92 is entire folder? or just contents inside it only? and (Then edit the dlclist.xml in mods\update\update.rpf\common\data;) I do edit dlclist.xml with dlcpacks:/FIM92Stinger_Replace/ but it somehow either doesnt find it or work? need some help please . @wha200789 Hi there. There are 2 versions of it, one is addon weapon, other one is replacing original Homing Launcher.
The addon is FIM92Stinger , replace is FIM92_Replace .
The addon one you can spawn with a trainer, it's spawn name; WEAPON_FIM92_STINGER
The replace, you can spawn with trainer too or buy from the gun shop.
You might be entering the wrong one to dlclist.xml
