Your first sentence it's likely to be the only one relevant to what i'm trying to say. I'm not a judge and i STILL don't care if someone will go after someone else. I am down on earth, and my thoughts are simple here (or at least i thought so). Answer this question: "I'm a modder, why should i share what i do with ungrateful and toxic people who are not able to appreciate what they have and even expect something?". Since here we are all on the same boat, my fear is that because of those people i'm gonna have less nice stuff to play. I'm not demanding nor expecting anything like you do but only good manners and common sense. If you are going to reply please don't forget to answer that question.
@12d3 Fortunately i don't care if Rockstar will or won't do anything about it. If it will, the modders of course will have to cope with that but i really don't see it coming since there are already thousands of modders out there modding any kind of game (and since you like to talk about law they are still technically not selling anything). My thoughts here are only to express my opinion and to dissociate myself from people that apparently have difficulties to even say "thank you". It appears that you want to find a way to stop them, to force them to share for free what they do. You see them as parasites and i see them as people who put effort and passion in something (and i know modding this game is not that easy). Bashing and going against who is creating something that you enjoy instead of supporting and siding with them is pretty messed up.
@Zemanez Just wanted to report a small glitch that i hope is fixable. After enabling "Online Maps" and starting the game The Lost Clubhouse will not load, the door is missing (the movable one) and there is a huge hole where the interior should be. Thanks for this awesome tool by the way.
@12d3 I don't share this kind of thinking, if you put regulation and start making the life of modders difficult instead of saying thanks for sharing what they do it will end up on less and less good content in no time. You guys are here because you like mods and of course you like things "For Free", they are nice, who doesn't like free stuff? But like that we will have less choice and less content because many modders would not waste time and effort on giving free stuff to self-entitled people (basic economics). There will be always someone who does it but like this there are more (and some mods are big enough to make a dlc alone). I want to be able to decide if i want to donate some euros to thank the author for the fun that provides me and getting something more. The author can decide if update/delete or not. The website decide if to host or not (but then it would go against its own interest). There are many dead mods here. The immortality of this game is given partially by modders, and Rockstar probably knows (not mentioning the brainstorming and ideas that comes from them for future releases)
@HKH191 i seem to have a small problem with the Lost Clubhouse not loading at game startup... The door is not there and if i go inside there is a huge hole (interior not loaded). If i refresh the interiors/reload the script then it seems to load fine. Is it intended to refresh/reload scripts everytime i start the game? Is it possible to do that automatically?
One last thing, i noticed the clubhouse interior will load only when the player is very close, is it possible to increase a little bit the range so that the immersion breaking hole is not so clearly visible? Thanks for your work!
@Extricated No. Who decided that mods should be free? You think that modding require no work and no time? The sentence "profit off the work of someone else" is ridiculous, so youtubers and stream gamers are making money off their own games? Youtube itself is making money off the videos of other people. Pretty much everyone who is making profit is doing so. You should be thankful that modders share their stuff. Plus cass here has always put his last version for free. Oh right... You don't want to wait.
@DurtyFree thanks for this but unfortunately some props (preview) make the game crash. Can't use it cause when browsing the list it feels like gambling :D
@BeeberIsBack Thanks for this awesome remake! Could you help me please in coding the part where random nearby peds come to the van buy stuff and leave? Trying for days without managing. Thanks in advance
