Yeah, played around for a bit after installing the mod and after countless hours of searching and testing various different solutions myself, this mod and this mod only was able to solve those awful frame drops at night/during sunsets even with the settings cranked up. Smooth 60 FPS across the board now, even when using the VisualV graphics mod. Out of curiosity, what exactly does this mod do to fix the bug? Is this a case of Rockstar incompetence? And finally, does the regular version impact visual quality in any way?
I've been struggling with this for years. Game runs flawlessly during the day with everything cranked up but at night, particularly during sunsets, my framerate tanks to the high 40's and low 50's and not even 0.500 frame scaling fixes this. I'm running a Ryzen 5 2600 and a GTX 1660 super. Haven't gotten around to testing it but would this mod effectively solve the issue?
@HKH191 Thank you for clarifying. I really liked this mod and thought it had a lot of potential, but it makes sense why it was depreciated. Just extremely buggy in general.
I'm still going to continue to use it here and there, so thank you for leaving it up.
Edit: I've been playing around with the mod a bunch, freeroaming and causing chaos. Performance is amazing and the game hasn't crashed, but some of the textures seem to disappear and load in slowly, which appears to get worse the longer I keep the game running. Any solutions for this?
One of the best scripts out there. Adds in so much content with no hit to FPS, which is almost unheard of. Apart from the lengthy installation process, I have zero complaints.
Also, I posted this in another comment, but the North Yankton heist is completely broken at the moment, so don't bother with it. To my knowledge, all of the other heists work fine, although you may need to manually skip some setup missions. Humane Labs setup 2 for instance is impossible without cheating to my knowledge. Hopefully HKH will update the mod soon.
If you guys are having an issue where Lester tells you to go to the arcade, but there's no marker at the arcade, then that specific heist is bugged and you need to go to Lester's factory instead to finish the heist. For this reason, I highly recommend purchasing the arcade next to Lester's factory. So if you end up doing a heist where you need to go to Lester's factory instead, it's right by your arcade.
As for why this happens, I think the creator forgot to change the finish marker for some of the heists when updating to 5.0. Prior to 5.0, you needed to go to Lester's factory to finish heists.

@SnakeVenom33939 Many thanks for the tips. My games runs a lot better now after applying them. Just hoping they fix the six star escape bug.

Many thanks! I'll be using this mod for sure when I finish the game and go crazy with mods.
