@ImNotMentaL does that mean the alpha value is hardcoded, too? also, what about the "z-layer" type behavior i was talking about? also, i think i may have a solution for the flickering... it seems to shake about a bunch when driving in certain areas, namely those with frequent tiny elevation changes.. like streets with uneven pavement. perhaps a solution for this is to have a check, and only update the y-coordinate if it has changed above a certain level (like +/- 0.05).

Also, yes please let us control the x/y location - the speedometer is blocked completely in some views in some vehicles - i.e. some big/long trucks and mission vehicles.

Henlo, could you make the display less jittery (and maybe have a per-vehicle config)?

It's ideal as dashboard replacement for cars that don't have dashboards, but sadly the jitteriness makes it unusable in first person view when one is up close.
