UPDATED TO ENSURE COMPATIBILITY WITH LATEST PATCH.
I always felt that the amount and size of the puddles on the roads were far too exagerated and over a long period of time it's become a bit of a pet hate for me. Having stumbled across the settings one day I decided to experiment and with some trial and error I managed to get my perfect puddles which for me look so much more realistic. Also, I think it's worth mentioning I have gained about 1-2 FPS with the smaller puddles, it may not sound like much but every little helps.
Included in the zip is full instructions on editing the puddles yourselves, just in case you have an already modded file and don't wish to lose your settings.
I don't require any credit or anything like that so feel free to use it in your mods if you so wish. I only changed a couple of numbers, just glad to contribute something for a change, I hope you like it.

So I will call this Version 1.1 to go along with the changes. I have also updated the README file instructions with the individual settings for each size puddle for those who already have a modded file and wish to keep it, they can just change the settings themselves using notepad, it's very easy. Thank you everyone for your positive feedback, I hope you enjoy this new version.

I have updated to Version 1.3 using the latest version of Visualsettings.dat just in case there have been any changes to it over the last year. Don't forget, full instructions for editing the puddles manually are included for those using an already custom Visualsettings.dat file, just check the README.txt in the zip file. Just need to wait for admin approval :)

Awesome mod! How can i make the roads to stay wet even if i have a dry weather ? I like the effect of roards and i wish to be like that all the time.

You don't need this mod. Simply go to update/update.rpf/common/data. Locate visualsetting.dat and right click, edit. Search for "puddle" and change "puddle.scale" to your liking. Mine's at 0.030 and it looks fine. I hope this helps!
