A new GTA brings more pedestrians than you have ever seen! More stationary peds, WAY more peds walking the pavements, and you will see MANY peds in places you would NEVER ordinarily find them. This mod also increases the volume of vehicular traffic, but does it smartly.
The ambiance will better reflect real-life as well. You will NO more hear full-on conversations from clear across the street OR while driving your vehicle, NO more random blood-curdling screams for seemingly NO reason, and NO more bloody "What's up my dude" will you EVER hear again, LOL. Only will you hear people when within REASONABLE distances!
Also adds various other changes to ped behaviors such as their ability to withstand beatdowns better when in mele combats, adds the ability for WAY more peds to fight at once during combat scenarios, adds rival gangs to all hoods. Nice neighborhoods will be tame, while places like Strawberry, Chamberlain, Rancho, Davis, La Mesa, etc will be VERY violent.
You will see a good more police patrolling the hoods as well. Crimes will be committed at far greater heights than ever before.
The gameconfig is specially tailored. It uses Dilapidated's gameconfig as a base, but with my own fine tuning and adjustments to support my own mod, and allows for MANY ymaps and add-on vehicles, all while remaining stable.
You use Betavegroups? So to do I. Use Forests of San Andreas? So to do I! Also use several others.
It is HIGHLY recommened that you use this with MP maps enabled, as my mod adds peds to the MP yacht. Without it, you will see peds suddenly fall into the ocean when nearing that location in Del Perro beach, LOL.
Requirements: A GOOD PC. No potatoes will run this mod! My Specs are i-7 4790K, nVidia GTX1070, and 8 Gb of system DDR3 memory.

Also peds have been added to the Arcadia business plaza downtown near Pillbox Hill, the park in Mirror Park, AND El Cafe Rojo De Madera in Alta.

Made it so random events occur closer to the player. Modified relationships so that some wild animals do NOT run away, more dangerous animals will attack the player still. Quieted the peds even more to the point of being surreal, far resembling real-life than ever before!
Also adds two optional gameconfigs, one to support a slight reduction in vehicular traffic densities, and the other will support the ped population as is, but return vehicular traffic to vanilla, for those who have PCs that can't handle the load.

I noticed there were no directions for the YMAP situation to get this working, so I wrote my own once I figured it out:
in OPENIV with edit mode on, go to \mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\ and create a folder called "custom_maps" (without the quotes).
download https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/mapeditor-2-ymap-converter and open the Example DLC Pack ---> custom_maps folder and drag the dlc.rpf file into the mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\custom_maps folder with edit mode on in OPENIV.
then, go to update --->update.rpf-->common---> data and extract dlclist.xml, and add a line under the last <Item>: this line is <Item>dlcpacks:/custom_maps/</Item> and save the changes, and drop the dlclist.xml back into OpenIV where it was.
open the dlc.rpf file in OpenIV and download https://www.gta5-mods.com/maps/vinewood-villa , getting the ymap no people version and dragging VinewoodVilla1.ymap.xml into the dlc.rpf file (there should be a sample file called marina here already). It will autoconvert to the appropriate ymap format.
download https://www.gta5-mods.com/maps/sandy-shores-redux-by-jaaag-v1-0-official and drop the ymap file inside into the dlc.rpf file where you dropped VinewoodVilla1.ymap.xml
You're done importing the ymaps!
@eshenk mate does this mod include WoV? I noticed the previous Realistic Pedestrians and Traffic mod included WoV.
@eshenk Can be possible something similar but with many parked vehicles and boats in the ports? (without they are all the same) For me the game is very empty in that aspect, everything that is sidewalks and parking lots with more vehicles will be great
Can’t get this to work anymore. Gameconfig it comes with doesn’t let me load the game. Using edited gamconfig i can load but whenever i get in vehicle the game crashes.

Gameconfig from this mod does not work in my 1868 game with WOV installed, looks like no point to install the mod itself.
Confirmed working with GTA V - v1.0.2060.1
This mod will work with WOV mod, just DON'T replace your current gameconfig.xml file with the one from this mod. Instead, edit the values in your current gameconfig.xml as follows:

Also, if you have a wallet mod (changes cash piles to wallets), this mod will change the wallets back to cash piles. To fix this:
Edit [update \ update.rpf \ common \ data \ pickups.meta] and replace all the "cash_pile" <Model>'s with "Prop_LD_Wallet_01"

Gotta love all the authors that say, "much more to come soon", then... nothing.
I just wanted more peds and using the pop cycle and scenario folders from this mod made a huge improvement with no noticeable fps drop or crash. I encourage eshenk to come out of hibernation at the least so I can properly thank them for the time and effort put into making our games more enjoyable

any new updates for 2023?, iam desperate to make this work.
I have the very latest build of the game. and I replaced all files accordingly. the game boots up till the EULA page, and then it abruptly just crashes. without any errors or displaying any reason for the crash.
but in efforts to try and get any indicators of what the crash reason be. i found out about the "Pool Manager" tool

I dont know if the issue is related to like (just guessing) maybe conflicting files between the latest build of the game that had the San Andreas Mercenaries thingy, or not?

As of update 2944 this mod works to some degree, i havent tried any of the update folders, everything else works great.

@eshenk i doubt you still check these comments but im wondering if I can somehow only use the parts of your mod that adjust the audio levels of surrounding NPCs... i LOVE your mod, its honestly the best one Ive seen for this type of thing, but its hugely overkill. Please clue me in. And if he doesnt check comments still, maybe someone else can chime in.
