SPYRO 2 SUMMER FOREST PORTED TO GTA 5!!
By TheNathanNS
1.) Description
This mod adds the level Summer Forest from the legendary PlayStation 1 game, Spyro 2, to Grand Theft Auto 5.
Why?
I was experimenting with creating maps for GTA 5 and rather than jumping in with a massive map mod, I decided to use a low end, single model.
Which happened to be a model from a PS1 game.
I am happy enough with the results (so far) so here's a release.
Features:
* Low PC friendly! (Remember: 1999 PlayStation 1 model. Even you on Intel HD 3000 should be able to run this w/out FPS drop)
* Genunine model
* Embedded texture
* Near perfect collision
* Appropriate water levels, close to that of the actual Spyro 2 game.
* Works with Map Editor or Menyoo (personally I recommend Map Editor)
Due to map placement, the place where you would "glide" is full of water, so jump down and swim across!
2.) Installation
YOU NEED MAP EDITOR OR MENYOO FOR THIS!
Map Editor: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/map-editor
Menyoo: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/menyoo-pc-sp
Drag and drop the update folder into your GTA 5 folder.
Then, using OpenIV, go to:
update\update.rpf\common\data
Extract dlclist.xml
Open DLClist.xml and underneath "dlcpacks:\patchday13ng\" (as of me publishing this)
you need to add
dlcpacks:\spyro2\
then save and re-import your dlclist.xml back into your update.rpf.
Then, ingame, activate Map Editor, (I use a controller, so for me this is R3 + LB, if you use a keyboard/mouse, press F7.
Then go down to "Load Map" and type "summerforest" and it'll load.
Head down to Vespucci Beach, you should see an awful model (PLEASE READ BUGS BELOW FOR AN EXPLANATION FOR THIS) and then you should fly there in a helicopter and the rest is idiot-proof.
3.) BUGS
Bug #1: Water
In some scenarios, the water will go onto the floor near the main lake area.
This is a bug, because of the map placement, I had to put the map a bit close to the sea, because otherwise you can't jump out of the
castle tunnel.
Should not occur if you're playing in sunny weather. From my experiences, rainy/thunder causes this the worst.
Bug #2: "Missing" map parts
From above (and the side) you can see directly into the map and it looks like there is no model.
There is a model, but it's just the way the model was made. From the top/side's it's see through.
Remember, this was ported from a 1999 PlayStation 1 game.
Not my fault and I don't think it's fixable.
Bug #3: Size is 300mb when extracted.
IDK what caused this.
Download itself is about 7mb, but when extracted, the archive is about 300mb.
4.) Credits
Ported from Spyro 2 by TheNathanNS
Feel free to use this mod in your mod, but please give credit!
5.) OTHER NOTES
If you wish to add this to a custom map, or something, add spyro2summer to your objects.ini so it'll spawn in the Map Editor list.

can someone convert a spyro the dragon ped?!
oh the memories
Elements from one of my favorite games ever on the PS1 now brought into GTA V. Only the Spyro character models are needed, so everyone can make a Spyro movie out of it.
Omg! That's something for me. Are You going to continue in this?
Finaly another good Map Mod! More! :D
очень говно
@ViusFX Well, this was mostly a test to see if I could make custom maps haha, though I guess I could do more levels, when college isn't being a pain in the ass.
Any you want me to convert?
@TheNathanNS Och damn, so good luck with college. Well, I'm interested in some levels of Spyro 3, so maybe that. Thanks for answer.
@TheNathanNS I give you a like and 5 stars for your reasonable decision to start small. I think we all have seen many half-baked mods which got abandoned because the creator was a beginner who wasn't aware of the big effort and problems which come along with such projects. :)
@Cyron43 Haha thanks.
I know that issue all too well, when I was making "Bully: San Andreas Edition" for GTA SA back in 2012. :P
10/10!
Holy fuck I didn't even read the title I just saw the screenshot thumbnail and got hit by nostalgia
noice mod m8
i miss this game because i didn't had a playstation :(
Now this brought back memories. very nice
wtf ... ? Looks like Michael took too much acids
Can you port Big Blue from F-ZERO GX, please? It's an amazing map and it would perfectly fit with the game atmosphere:

Beat me to it bro, was half way doing this to test how to make custom maps :) I think Artisans would be a great map to do next.
file SummerForest put in?
@TheNathanNS please help me,i can't load it
@TheNathanNS The best memories. Thank you! I would give you 10/10 for actually making it able to be used on the single player without fivem. But sadly I can't
