@metroidguy Great stuff, but question. How'd ya manage to move the attachments around without the gun's rigging messing up?

@NaijaMango just a little finesse here and there. Could go more in depth but I don't know your knowledge level and if you actually care or if it's just a casual question lol

@metroidguy I can do a few crafty things here and there with weapon modeling and editing alongside messin around with weapon metas. Not to say I know as much as Slick or them, but I can handle a bit 😁

@NaijaMango So if you view any of my weapons' skeleton in openiv you can tell I have a few extra 'nodes' in my models with the suffix '_pos'. This is due to the fact that in the original weapon skeletons anytime you are to move any of the attachment nodes and start the weapon in-game, the nodes will appear on your desired position but will reset as soon as you fire, I don't know to what node position it is resetting but I circumvented this by putting let's say the muzzle flash node in a parent node with the suffix _pos. So roughly speaking muzzle flash_pos is the parent of muzzle flash node. Now when you go in-game you will realize the muzzle flash node is resetting to the _pos parent, now just make a few adjustments manually (trial and error) to make the attachments reset to the exact same position they were prior to firing. And I know I am all over the place with the explanation but hopefully you can understand lol

@NaijaMango well to save some time, let's say you want to replace the specialcarbine, just download the scar-h I have on this website which replaces the special carbine and you'll already have my custom bones. Just delete the geometry and import your own. Move the bones as you see fit, just remember you have to move the "_pos" and child node at the same time so select both and move as you desire.

@metroidguy In that case would I only be able to make these adjustments to the Special Carbine as opposed to other rifles?

@NaijaMango with this scar-h yes, but just go to my other mods, for example if you want to replace the carbinerifle just download my m4 and use the bones I created

@metroidguy Gotchya. Lemme tell ya moving the "_pos" node is a hell of a lot harder than I thought it'd be. I'm clockin in bout 5 hours now tryna get a couple of attachments in the right place. Thanks again MG

@NaijaMango yeah man, If you keep Ctrl pressed down and click on the _pos node and child node in it it will select both of them and you'll be able to move them at the same time
