@rappo Hey man, just thought to say thanks for this. I never got chance to try the button mod as my graphics card fell over shortly after you updated it with the mutton mod I requested. I have shown a felloe maker person your efforts and they seem really intrigued by it. Thanks again :)
@rappo That's wicked thanks! Sadly the wife is in hospital so not gonna have time to test it straight away but I'll be sure to let you know as soon as I do.
@rappo yeah I had a quick look at the Arduino sketch, and while it made little sense to me (I'm trying to learn but it's slow going lol), I noticed there was no simple looking way for me to implement what I wanted. Still, cool little project ;)
@rappo The whole thing went smoothly thanks :) My son thinks "it's mint" and showed it to his mates once we had it working - he assembled it and a few odds and ends were connected wrong which is good cause it only helped to learn by "debugging".
If only I could code well enough to mod it further, I'd like to add a switch to toggle between display modes (that shouldn't bee too hard should it?). In the meantime I have ordered some bits and bobs from banggood.com to make a more permanent and better looking version than it currently is http://imgur.com/fSP4blG
I can't wait to make this with my son, he's interested in the Arduinos I have kicking around and having him see the result of what's possible (and that it interacts with his favourite game) could be a great kick start for him to get into experimenting himself. Thanks very much for this.
