TemperatureV: Ultimate Clothing Survival Immersion Giving Your Wardrobe a Purpose in Los Santos. TemperatureV is a deep, dynamic, survival mod inspired by Chesko's Skyrim's Frostfall, designed to bring consequential climate mechanics to your gameplay. Your clothing choices are no longer cosmetic they are the key to survival across the drastically varied biomes of Los Santos and Blaine County. Failure to prepare for the elements will lead to rapid health loss and impaired performance. Categorize your outfits, respect the climate zones, and plan your missions like a true survivor.
Climate Zones and Survival Rules The world is divided into three primary climate zones, each with unique challenges:
(Temperate) Downtown Los Santos, Any categorized outfit is comfortable.(City is the default safe zone)
(Cold) North MT. Chiliad region, high altitude areas (Giant Hills/Mountains). Requires Cold Weather gear. Rapid health loss with non-cold attire.
(Hot) Mojave Desert Sandy regions north of Los Santos. Day (6 AM - 8 PM):
Requires Hot or Temperate gear. Rapid health loss with non-hot and temperate attire. Desert Night Desert region (8 PM - 6 AM).Requires Cold Weather gear. Rapid health loss with non-cold attire.
The Ocean Prolonged swimming/in water (excluding tubs). Requires Swim (Wetsuit) category after 2 minutes. Progressive health loss after 3 minutes.
Core Mechanics: Categorization is Key. Your outfits must be categorized using the in-game menu system to grant you protection. Access the Menu: Press F3 to open the Outfit Settings menu and categorize your current outfit. Reassign Category: If an outfit is already categorized, press Ctrl and F3 to force reassignment. Uncategorized Penalty: If you are wearing an outfit that is not categorized in an extreme biome (Cold North, Desert or temperate), you will suffer rapid, accelerated health damage every 15 seconds until you change your attire or categorize it.
Mismatched Penalty: If you are wearing a categorized outfit in the wrong climate (e.g., Hot outfit in the Cold North), you will suffer health damage every 20 seconds.
Water Immersion Entering the ocean begins a timer: 0-2 Minutes: You are Cold and receive warnings. 2-3 Minutes: You are Very Cold and the chill is setting in. 3 Minutes: You begin taking freezing damage every 15 seconds. Wetsuit Protection: Categorizing your current outfit as Swim/Wetsuit nullifies all cold water penalties.
Mitigation and Safe Havens Don't panic! You can avoid penalties and seek temporary safety: Indoors & Shelter: Entering any building or enclosed area (detected via the game's interior system) immediately halts all temperature penalties. This also works with an implemented Vehicle Climate Control: Sitting in a closed-cabin vehicle (not cycles or motorcycles) automatically provides perfect climate control (A/C).A/C Grace Period: Upon exiting a controlled vehicle, you benefit from a 45-second grace period where penalties are suppressed, giving you time to transition or run to cover. Hot Tubs & Safe Zones: Yacht hot tubs and custom-defined safe zones (read from safezones.ini) are considered perfectly comfortable, even if submerged.
