A simple script that allows you to make the game think you're playing with a different ped model allowing to play missions as well as various other things using any model.
I have been receiving dozens of requests in the past to upload this and after skelepap contacted me a few days ago requesting the same I finally decided to clean it up a bit and upload it. I can't even remember how many requests I have received but it's at least 100. My original intention was to keep it private (but I then uploaded it first to MediaFire on October 21, 2016 for nkjellman) since there was a .NET version of this already (which didn't really work and had to be updated each game patch; it is also deleted now) and this is some of the most basic things you can create. You guys can stop PMing me about this now :P
Requirements
ScriptHookV Visual C++ Redistributable 2013 x64
Installation
Simply drop CharacterSwap.asi and the CharacterSwap folder into your Grand Theft Auto V main directory.
Usage
Use a trainer to change your ped model first, then use this script to change the model hash.
Controls
Open/Close menu: F8
Up: NumPad8
Down: NumPad2
Select: NumPad5
Can be changed in the .ini.
Hold Ctrl to speed up scrolling

@Porkey_Pig This is the same issue with me, I see that spawning in as addonpeds plus character swap only works at the first startup of the game. If you load game after that and try it, the thing just doesnt respond. Tried switching my model back to story character instead of addonped before loading a game. Still got the same error.
i think you should add auto load for this script like i mean like auto load map
This mod doesn't seem to even change the character, even after changing the ped with a trainer. Anyone know how to get around this? Is the mod even compatible with the current version of the game?
@ColtonPrice095 i think you misunderstand how to use this. See, you change models with a trainer, then you use character swap to temporarily assign the hash for say, michael— and when you do that, the game believes the model you're using is michael.
can you not earn money as the mp male when you have the hashkey set to franklin?

Ive never been able to get this mod to work. Ive watched a tutorial and everything but the cutscene models never change. Does the mod need to be updated?
Would be cool if this auto-loaded the ped and hash.

@alloc8or is there a way to record while using this mod. Rockstar editor tries to apply franklin in recording.
How to Play Online Character in Story and Cutscenes:

Inside the game, use the Menyoo trainer, and switch your story character (Franklin, Michael, or Trevor) to a random npc. Then go to director’s mode. Select your online character and play the director’s mode. Then exit director’s mode. Your story mode character should be your online character now. Use the Menyoo trainer, and save your online character as an outfit. Open the character swap menu, go to presets, and select the story mode character you want to replace. Use the Menyoo trainer and revert your model back to the story mode character you want to replace. Then go back to your saved outfits in the Menyoo trainer and select your online character. Your online will now have replaced that story character and will now be usable in cutscenes.
okay. not sure what I'm doing wrong. i added both Character swap.asi and characterswap forler in the maid directory. now when i start the game. id doesnt even go to the loading page, it just looks like its about to load, and then goes back to steams main page, wont even start the game. is it clashing with nother mod? am i dont doing something right? not sure PLEASE HELP!!!!!
@mightymitch lol mine does the same and its frustrating. I only know that this mod causes the problem because the game works once I take it out sooo... yeah
The Problem most likely has to do with max addondpeds. Watch a tutorial of how to increase the limit and it should stop crashing

When I change the character to my own and switch the hash to Franklin, the mod works, but I still can't pick up the money.
is it because there are no updates?
