@Big Ounce Bro... High FPS doesn't overheat a graphics card. It's working at 100% no matter what, making the same heat. Higher FPS means the game is easier to render, so the card makes new frames quickly. That's why lower graphics settings = higher FPS.
Overclocking with Afterburner CAN overheat it though. It's raising the voltage and clockspeed, so it gets hotter. A PC can't handle this unless it's cooled properly. (Not to sound rude, I'm just giving you info)
