Alright, the old ped pool limitation of 256 has been lifted with the newest patch. However there is a new limit of 340. This is simply due to the game running out of stack space (Rockstar decided to allocate some heavy arrays on the stack that are dependent on the ped count).

Unfortunately I'm not sure if that is even fixable without modifying the PE headers of the GTA5 executable file.

@G-Spot187 The main heap parameter could conflict with other heap adjusting mods depending on the order they are loaded but besides that there is no real overlap or replacement of other mods.

getting crash within 10 sec (have heavy modded files)...Need Help!

are there any stable settings that folks have found that work? for some reason on a barely modded game it crashes with this mod with default values

@-Vegas- I was on a clean unmodified installation. It seemed like it happened when you got near the edge of town and had less cars spawning around you. Less cars = more peds can spawn on foot. I'm guessing that's why I was getting the crashes.

This generally works well for me but I have been having a few crashes lately that I've traced down to this mod. Before it was random but I got to the point where Trevor needs to do the chen/chinese missions, if I drive from Trevors trailer, over the sand path (railroad tracks) through the mini parking spaces and then to the main road to the bar itll crash halfway down the roda to the bar. I think it was a timed thing too since most test runs were about the same spot but 1 run I kept flipping and doing bad and I crashed even further away from the bar.

Taking this mod out I could get by there. I've updated to the latest version and acts the same way. I got lucky a couple of times and was able to queue the cut scenes and drive away to finish.

The game won't open at all, and I haven't used any other mods. Check your files

I wonder, I just warped over to sandy shores for more testing and noticed a shit ton of birds. I also recall that birds are in the popcycles and wondering if thats killing the ram around here..

I did more testing, edited the popcycle to 0 out all the birds - no change. I tested driving with character specific car and hijacked cars and even ran over there and still crashes. The faster the car the closer to the bar I could get, running occurred the furthest out - Purple x is running (shortest point of crash) red x is max dist and obviously red line is path taken with the yellow jacket inn being the destination - https://i.imgur.com/Aam4Zr6.jpg

Is it possible to remove the PackfileLimitAdjuster Enhanced and HeapAdjuster Enhanced mods and use only this mod?
